　　DooleywasborninBarnsley,SouthYorkshire.HestudiedattheArdenSchoolofTheatreinManchesterbetween1992and1995. 　　Dooley'sfirstactingrolewasasShauninGrooveOnaStanleyKnifein1997.HelaterplayedRitchieFitzgeraldinCoronationStreetfrom1997until1998.HealsoappearedoccasionallyinEastEndersasTomStuartbetween2001and2004untilhewasreplacedduringhisfilmingofTheStreet.HealsohadaroleinP.O.W(TVSeries)alongsideJoeAbsolom. 　　DooleyplayedPeterHarperinBBC'sdramaseriesTheStreet.Healsofeaturedinthe2007televisiondocudramaDiana:LastDaysofaPrincess.DooleyportrayedKieranintheBritishhorrorfilmSalvage.HeportrayedpoliceinspectorDickAldermaninallthreepartsoftheRedRidingtrilogy. 　　In2009,DooleyplayedtheleadinHighTide'sacclaimedproductionofStovepipeattheWest12ShoppingCentreinShepherd'sBush.In2010,heappearedinBBCOne'sFiveDaysandinITV'sMarriedSingleOther. 　　InSeptember2010,heappearedasDerekBennettintheBBCFourdramaTheRoadtoCoronationStreet,aswellasin"GentlyEvil",anepisodeoftheBBCOnedetectiveserialInspectorGeorgeGently.Onthe9thMarch2012DooleyappearedasPereGarveyinanepisodeofhitITVcomedeyBenidorm,asthebrotheroflongtermcharacterMickGarvey,PeteisinBenidormwithhisfatherforhisstagdo 　　In2011heappearedintheBBCdramasExile,alongsideJohnSimm,andGreatExpectations. 　　DooleyhasalsostarredinfilmssuchasEdenLake(CeladorFilms)andTheWomaninBlack(HammerFilms).
