简介:Besnik, a shepherd with a mental disorder, lives with his elderly father in an Albanian village. His life is filled with nature, cattle, figurines he carves from wood and God he thinks he can talk to. By chance he discovers that the old mosque in the village used to be a church in the past. Vilma a restorer from the Monument's Institute reports that in the past the Muslims agreed to share the mosque with the Catholics, because the closest church to them would be too far to rich. As Besnik's father falls ill, his sister Fitore and her family, all Muslim; and Besnik's elder brother Alban and his family, who have immigrated to Greece and have converted to the Orthodox faith arrive at Besnik's house. The family is re-united, the warmth and harmony seem to have made a comeback and Besnik is happy.
