简介：Growing up in Canada, Thi never knew any blood relatives other than his mother, as when Thi and his mother escaped Vietnam in 1981 his father was unable to follow. As time passed Thi’s memories of his father faded, as Thi’s mother would barely mention his father’s name. Decades later and well-settled in Canada, Thi finally plans a trip back to his homeland of Vietnam to search for his biological father. Barely speaking the language, he begins his search with only a photo and a name. With the help of his two best friends, he travels the country in hopes of connecting with his estranged family, and finally finding out the truth about their past and his own. A deeply moving documentary, Made in Vietnam follows Thi as he spirals down the rabbit hole in this emotional quest for identity.
