- 简介:'Immatürity for Charity' is a series of comedy sketches made to raise money for the invaluable St. Francis Hospice in Raheny and Blanchardstown, Dublin, which has suffered five consecutive cuts in budget from the HSE and is facing a huge struggle to maintain its incredibly valuable service. 以下是Domhnall Gleeson写的 Why Should I Donate? I saw the incredible work done at St Francis Hospice, Raheny when they cared for my dying grandparents. It's a wonderful place that treats each and every patient with dignity, respect and compassion, and at no charge. It's such a valuable service in the community. Knowing my grandparents passed away in comfort and with dignity at the hospice helps me remember how beautifully they lived their lives before their illness; we should all be so lucky to be surrounded by this much care when we need it most. And yet the hospice is facing a huge challenge to continue its work due to the huge cuts in funding. If you like the sketches, if you like the idea, or if you just want to help the hospice continue its incredible work, PLEASE donate if you can. The hospice desperately needs your support. One quick thing; The sketches, we hope, are mostly funny. They are also silly and generally ridiculous, because that's what makes us laugh. So it's important to note that the hospice is not affiliated with the content of these sketches. The only connection is that all the proceeds go directly to their charity account, where it'll help them keep up their amazing work. Where does my money go? When you donate, your money goes to St Francis Hospice, Raheny and Blanchardstown, which operates all year round. In addition to Raheny, a new and much-needed hospice in Blanchardstown was finally opened in 2014 to serve the wider area of Dublin North West funded by the HSE and voluntary donations. However, the capital debt for this new hospice is still at €6.8 million and needs to be repaid by 2026. So the money you donate also goes towards maintaining its service and also eliminating this debt so the hospices can focus on the development of more services and on the outreach to many more patients and families.
